To obtain speech pathology licensure in Oklahoma, you need to have a master’s degree or equivalent from an accredited learning institution. You must also complete a clinical practicum under supervision, and this work must total 400 hours. 375 of those hours must involve client contact, and the other 25 should involve clinical observation. Finally, 325 of the hours have to be done within a graduate program that has earned accreditation from the Council on Academic Accreditation. Additionally, you need to complete a nine month postgraduate experience and pass a board-approved examination. An application is involved, and it must include three references. You’ll also be required to complete a background check and provide a citizenship affidavit.
